There will be a major update to our online banking system on Oct. 14 & 15.
Outage Timeline
Our system provider will be conducting these updates from late at night on Tuesday, October 14th to early morning on Wednesday, October 15th. During this window, you will likely experience interruptions to your online banking access. We apologize for the inconvenience.
What's changing?
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be mandatory for all online banking users after this update. It is an enhanced security measure meant to keep your banking information protected and secure.
You will be prompted to enroll upon your first login after the update. You can choose from 4 options:
-
- Push Notifications: Sends a prompt to the users mobile device, allowing them to approve or deny the login attempt with a single tap.
- SMS Authentication: Sends a one-time password (OTP) via test message and is entered manually by the user.
- Voice Call Authentication: Delivers a spoken one-time password (OTP) through an automated phone call. It is often used as an alternative to SMS. If you do not have a smartphone, this is the best option for you.
- Web Authentication: Typically involves using a secure key or device-based biometrics (fingerprint or facial recognition) directly within a browser session.
- Push Notifications: Sends a prompt to the users mobile device, allowing them to approve or deny the login attempt with a single tap.
How often will I have to use MFA?
When your device has 'trusted' status, you will not have to use MFA.
-
- On mobile, your device will become 'trusted' after you enroll for MFA, and will not lose its status unless you reinstall the app or remove the device from your 'trusted' list.
- On a web browser, 'trusted' status will expire after 12 hours, so you will usually have to use MFA each time you log in.
I need help.
Please call us at 403-845-2861, and one of our staff members will help you through the process of setting up Multi-Factor Authentication.
If you have an Aviso Wealth or QTrade Direct Investing product through Rocky Credit Union, you can now link your account to your RCU online banking.
You will still have to go through your regular Aviso Wealth accounts to perform any transactions, but you will now be able to view how your products are performing in your RCU online banking (app or browser).
To link your account, you will need to find your Client ID #, which is located on past Aviso statements.
