About the Board

Rocky Credit Union's Board of Directors is comprised of seven members who are democratically elected by the membership. Each director is elected for a three-year term, and can serve up to three consecutive terms. Annually, the Board of Directors appoints a president and a vice-president. Directors are appointed annually to governance committees. The Board of Directors is accountable to the members of Rocky Credit Union for governance of the credit union.

  Robert Bryant  - Chair

Robert was born in Rocky Mountain House and attended the University of Calgary.  He taught in the Rocky area for his teaching career, and he served on Clearwater County Council for 2 terms.

  Robert Boodt - 1st Vice ChairBoard Credit Committee, Audit, Finance, & Risk Committee. Governance Committee.        

Robert has been a member of the Rocky Credit Union for over 30 years.  His work experience has mostly been in customer service, first as a cook for 10 years, plumber for 20, and have also farmed for about 6 years.  Robert is presently retired and seeking to be involved on the Rocky Credit Union Board in order to contribute to Rocky Credit Union's strong presence and continuing success. 

   Carson Stewart - 2nd Vice Chair. Board Credit Committee, Audit, Finance & and Risk Committee.

 Carson is a life-long resident of Rocky Mountain House and has been a member of Rocky Credit Union since 1997. He is married and raising two sons. Carson has served previously on the Rocky Credit Union Board for 9 years and has completed the national CU Director Achievement program. As a previous employee of Rocky Credit Union, Carson  completed  the management-training program gaining experience in Consumer, Commercial and Agricultural lending. Carson currently owns/operates an oil and gas contract operations company.

   

  

  Tom Morgan - Board Credit. Audit, Finance & Risk Committee (Chair).

Tom has over 40 years' experience in the cooperative system. His background as a financial controller, an office manager, and a general manager of a Co-op store, is a great asset to the Board of Directors.

   Terri Kalyn - Board Credit Committee. Audit, Finance and Risk Committee. Governance Committee (Chair).        

 Terri has lived in Rocky Mountain House approximately 35 years and has owned and operated a successful real estate company for 25 years. During this time, she has sat as a director or president of many associations and has a clear knowledge and understanding of how Boards operate. As a past Bank representative working doe Canada Trust in several positions including lending, she has gained working experience that will be an asset to the Board of Directors. 

   Linda Fredine - Board Credit Committee. Audit, Finance and Risk, Governance Committee. Governance Committee.        

Linda is a member of the Rocky Credit Union; holding that membership for over 30 years. She owns and operates a small business in town and has a cow/calf operation east of town limits. With many years’ of experience with board governance as a director or president of many associations she has clear knowledge and understanding of how Boards operate. Linda has a level 2 Board Development Certificate from the Federated Co-op association. Linda wishes to contribute further to the growth of our community by ensuring the continued effective governance of our Credit Union.

   Terri-Lynn Johanesson – Board Credit  Committee (Chair), Audit , Finance and Risk Committee. Governance Committee.  

Terri has lived in Rocky Mountain House for 30 years, and has been a member of Rocky Credit Union since 1992. She started a career within the Rocky Credit Union in 1992 as a summer student and finished her career as Banking Floor Manager in 2012. She has worked as a Controller and is presently an Office Manager for a local business. Education is important to her and she has recently obtained a Professional Bookkeeping Diploma in June 2019. Terri also has a Business Admin Diploma and CUIC Diploma. She volunteers at the ACCA Cooperative Youth Program in the summer and continues to volunteer for a variety of councils and associations.

With her professional, education and volunteering experience she believes that her skills and knowledge will be a great asset for the members.
