The Essential Variable Mortgage gives you a low rate at prime plus 0.10%, and the ability to lock in longer term without penalty at any time.
Features are:
- Low variable rate that fluctuates with the market. If rates go down, you pay more on the principal. If rates go up, you pay less on the principal.
- Payment is set at today's rate
- You can convert to a 3, 4 or 5 year closed, fixed mortgage at any time throughout the term at the prevailing rates.
- 20% prepayment privileges annually.
- Increase payments by 20% to pay down debt more quickly.
