Community Support Policy And Procedure
Rocky Credit Union supports initiatives of value to our members and to our trading area. As long as benefit to the community is evident, requests from members take precedence over requests from non-members. Local requests from non-members are considered if members benefit directly or indirectly. Requests from third-party fund-raisers will be denied.
Donations must be in keeping with Rocky Credit Union’s principles and community image.
The recipient of funds or support is expected to ensure Rocky Credit Union receives adequate public exposure if appropriate (i.e. cheque presentation in local paper, acknowledgements at event).
Requests unlikely to be funded include group excursions, tours, individual sponsorships, programs with religious focus, professional or technical societies, extended multi-year commitments, and political organizations.
In support of our community, Rocky Credit Union staff may be able to provide assistance with financial information and partnership opportunities.
Cash donations may be considered when other options are not possible.
Retroactive funding will not be considered.
Eligible Organizations and Activities:
•Youth and education
•Community Agencies and Facilities
•Culture and Arts
•Social Agencies, Programs and Charities
•Sports and Recreational Events
Guidelines
Considerations will be given in the following order:
1. Promotional supplies that will be visible throughout the community.
2. Financial resources deposited at Rocky Credit Union.
3. Financial resources that give Rocky Credit Union exclusive sponsorship and exposure.
4. Financial resources that blend with other sponsorships.
5. Volunteers to represent Rocky Credit Union within the community.
Sponsorships of $100 -$500 will be reviewed and approved by the Manager of Marketing. Sponsorships of $500 - $2,500 require a formal sponsorship application to be completed and submitted (applications available in Branch or on this website.Click Here!) to be approved by the General Manager. Requests for more than $2,500 will require Board of Director approval once a sponsorship application is completed.
Procedure
1. Applicants must complete the Sponsorship Application form prior to the event and submit the form to Rocky Credit Union, Re: Sponsorship Requests.
2. Funds for capitol projects may be committed but not advanced until ground breaking takes place or confirmation is received that significant funds have been raised for capitol acquisition.
3. Requests exceeding $500 must be accompanied by supporting documentation. Documentation may include most recent financial statements, project proposal, project costs and timeline for completion. A listing of other sources of funding may also be required.
